Starting pay is $20.50 per hour. Regular quarterly raises from 3 months until top out pay of $29.65 is reached in 2.5 years.
1st shift hours are 6:45 am – 3:15 pm M-F (some overtime)

Job Summary:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing various assembly tasks, including lock installation, weld curtain attachment, galvanized cleaning, insert installation, and support for special projects. The role also includes involvement in private label and catalog processes and other essential assembly functions. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient assembly and installation for company products.
Schedule:
- First Shift: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts 6:45AM - 3:15PM
- Occasional overtime on Saturdays may be required based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lock Installation:
- Install locks to specifications, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
- Perform inspections and adjustments to guarantee proper functionality.
2. Weld Curtain Attachment:
- Attach and secure weld curtains, ensuring stability and safety.
- Inspect attachments to confirm adherence to quality standards.
3. Galvanized Cleaning:
- Perform cleaning and preparation of galvanized surfaces as required for assembly.
- Use appropriate cleaning techniques and materials to maintain quality standards.
4. Insert Installation:
- Install inserts accurately and securely in the designated areas of products.
- Conduct tests to ensure all inserts meet specifications.
5. Special Project Assistance:
- Support the assembly team with special projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Participate in planning and execution, providing technical expertise where needed.
6. Private Label Process:
- Assist in the private label assembly process by following guidelines and maintaining consistency in output.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure global standards and requirements are met.
7. Catalog Process:
- Follow McMaster Carr process guidelines for assembly, ensuring high-quality components are used.
- Communicate any component or process issues promptly to maintain assembly efficiency.
8. Other Assembly Functions:
- Participate in additional assembly tasks, including wall riders, bike tray inserts, and polycarbonate installation, as required.
- Perform quality checks to confirm product standards are upheld at each stage of assembly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical certifications or training preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing role.
- Familiarity with basic assembly tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to follow technical specifications.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for precise assembly tasks.
- Ability to work in various manufacturing conditions, including areas with moderate noise and temperature variations.
Working Conditions:
- Standard manufacturing environment with appropriate safety gear provided.
