Starting pay is dependent upon experience. Regular quarterly raise schedule from 3 months until top pay (currently $32.03) is reached.
This is an onsite position, no remote work available.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Create production drawings and job specifications necessary to fabricate and produce high quality woven wire products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
- Accurately interpret drawings and sketches provided by the customer and Sales.
- Create formal production drawings using our General Drafting Standards.
- Audit and review drawings and installation instructions provided to customers.
- Communicate timely feedback to the Engineering Manager regarding system and procedure failures as well as quality concerns.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office setting with low to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people moving about.
- 8 hour work days – 5 days per week.
- Mandatory overtime depending on operation schedule.
- Work alone or with other co-workers.
- Steady pace with set productivity goals to be met each day.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.

- Ability to understand and design special products as needed.
- Understand blueprint details and ability to translate details into functional production drawings and instructions.
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AutoCad,, Microsoft Outlook/email.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Able to read standard tape measure.
- Strong math skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Min. 2 years’ drafting experience or Associate’s Degree in CADD
