Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. As an RBT, you will work directly with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role involves providing one-on-one behavioral therapy sessions and collecting data to track progress towards treatment goals.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA to address specific behavioral goals and objectives.
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients in a variety of settings (e.g., home, school, community).
- Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and principles to teach new skills and reduce problem behaviors.
- Collect accurate and reliable data during sessions to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with caregivers and other professionals involved in the client's treatment team.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and communications.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and implement techniques consistently.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of basic principles and methods of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Ability to build rapport with clients and create a positive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with special needs.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to adapt interventions based on individual client needs.

Schedule and Compensation:
- This is a part-time position (15-20 hours a week) with afternoon/afterschool hours .
- Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
