Essential Functions:
- Serves as lead medical record abstractor and participates in the planning, organizing, assigning, and reviewing the abstractions of the data collectors (DC)
- Serves as a direct contact for medical record abstraction to other project sites
- Obtains patient medical records from the facilities
- Abstracts a minimum of three patient medical records weekly according to established procedures and protocols
- Performs medical record re-abstractions for staff as needed to ensure data quality
- Document all work in provided data system
- Presents project data and assists with marketing the project with providers and other community stakeholders
- Four years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Computer skills, including data entry experience and the ability to navigate of variety of electronic medical record systems
- Experience in patient services, customer service, or related field interacting directly with clients
- Ability to enter data in an accurate and timely manner and synthesize critical information into a succinct yet comprehensive narrative
- Ability to perform well with a team in a remote work environment
- Strong professional communication skills
