Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred, but not required
- Previous experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and IEP processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess students' needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students' communication goals
- Monitor and document students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and assessments
- Stay current with best practices, new research, and professional development in speech-language pathology
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as district policies and procedures
