ER Nurse Manager - RN - Emergency Room Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse Manager directs and manages nursing and related activities of the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include, planning assignments of staff, ensuring adequate supplies are available, addressing physician concerns within the department, and scheduling education classes for the ER. Additionally, the ER Nurse Manager informs the staff of new procedures, equipment, and administrative changes, including participation in the formulation of administrative and personnel policies pertaining to the Emergency Department staff. An active RN is required for this position to ensure the ER Nurse Manager is able to function as an effective RN within the ER. The ability to work function as a leader by supporting the ER team during times of high volume, short-staffing, and other needs is critical to this role.

Required Certifications: (active)
1. RN License through AL BON
2. BLS certification
3. ACLS certification
4. PALS certification
5. TNCC certification (preferred)

Required Education:
ADN or BSN

Required Experience:
Prior work in an ER setting, with some supervisory experience is required.
