IT Specialist

The Network Support Technician will troubleshoot and maintain the organization’s networked systems. This includes but is not limited to computers, printers/copiers, phones, switches, servers, and camera systems. Work Week: M-F 7:30 – 4:00 (or as required to complete task) May call for weeks exceeding 50 hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AA/AS degree in computer related field or a comparable combination of education and experience that demonstrates an equivalent level of preparation in the knowledge, skills and abilities, preferred.
• At least two (2) years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred.

· Experience in IT/Network support, programming, application training, system design/implementation, software development, project management, system troubleshooting

• Requires technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software, hardware and network support for multiple users.
• Understanding of installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
• Knowledge of personal computer word processing, spreadsheet, database, DOS and Windows skills.
• Basic networking including cabling and basic network deployment tasks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft server and Virtual Environments.
• Resolve support tickets in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of current trends in cybersecurity

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

• Ability to walk, stand and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 lbs.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of network malfunction.
