Grading Laborer

As a Grading Laborer, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires individuals to work outdoors in various weather conditions. What you will do:
- Dumping trucks and ensuring proper disposal of materials.
- Operating machinery, such as a tractor broom, with proficiency and safety.
- Performing tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, and using a wheelbarrow to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required to meet project deadlines.
What you will need: (Minimum qualifications)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Possession of a valid driver's license (preferred).
- Ability to understand work directions and effectively communicate with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
Physical Demands:
- Constant physical effort, including standing for extended periods of time (at least eight hours per day).
- Ability to stoop, bend, and crouch as necessary to perform key duties.
- Occasional work with hands extended overhead while operating power tools or hand tools involved in cleaning.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds individually and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
- Manual dexterity to handle a wheelbarrow and various hand tools.
- Frequent walking on uneven surfaces, including natural ground, in varying weather conditions.
- Safe climbing on and off heavy mobile equipment.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily conducted outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to high levels of noise, commonly found in road construction.
- Exposure to substances commonly found in road construction or near equipment, such as grease, diesel fuel, gasoline, and asphalt.
- Regular proximity to heavy equipment, moving machinery, and traffic.
