What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler Supervisor position at WireMasters Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and adjusts manning and work requirements as related to the on-time delivery report.
- Ensures quality standards in the receiving, material handling and shipping of wire, cable, and other products.
- Plans and coordinates with other department supervisors and management.
- Aligns with the Warehouse Manager to ensure overall goals and productivity are achieved.
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by ensuring appropriate ERP transactions and flow of material.
- Maintains physical condition of work area by recommending new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by managing headcount; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed or as assigned by management.
