What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator position at WIREMASTERS INC?
Basic Function: The System Administrator will implement, support, maintain, and manage IT infrastructure and services, including systems, networking, security, email, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to IT projects assigned by the CIO and IT Director ensuring completion within appropriate time restraints.
- Provide tiered support for escalated help desk tickets as needed.
- Maintain and continuously improve disaster recovery systems, including conducting regular testing and documenting outcomes.
- Assist in updating and enhancing the IT Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Support IT leadership with security and compliance documentation efforts, covering frameworks such as NIST, DFARS, and CMMC.
- Assist with security improvements provided by third-party cyber security companies.
- Provide system administration to all servers including but not limited to updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Manage Barracuda, Hyper-V, VMWARE, VEEAM servers at all locations.
- Manage and monitor cloud VOIP systems.
- Manage the company’s network infrastructure at all sites. Including wireless networks, switches, wired networks, VLANS, etc.
- Assist IT Director with Microsoft Licensing and compliance management.
- Maintain Exchange Online and Office 365 services and licensing.
- Assist the IT Director with maintaining structure within the domain controllers.
- Manage Entra ID Systems.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of IT, systems, security and / or network experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Systems Administration.
- Networking Skills.
