Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee customer accounts which own our rigging fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive component, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service to our customers. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and train service technicians in various areas including hydraulic and electrical parts diagnosis, repair and replacement .
- Maintain strong communication with customers regarding yearly preventive maintenance and calibration schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service area.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to enhance satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in parts & service management or a similar role within the a capital equipment industry.
- Strong mechanical and/or hydraulic knowledge with hands-on experience in various hydraulic repairs including but not limited to pumps, valves, hoses and manifolds.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of technicians.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to transmit technical information clearly to both staff and customers.
- A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
