We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
District Sales Manager (Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia)
to join our team. This highly visible role is essential in developing new business relationships and nurturing existing ones within the road construction, mineral, and mining industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling the full range of Wirtgen Group equipment, including WIRTGEN, VÖGELE, HAMM, and KLEEMANN products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement strategic plans with our dealer network to achieve market share objectives and drive growth.
- Identify prospective customers through various channels, including industry publications, trade shows, and business directories, to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Travel 80% within the assigned territory to engage with current and prospective customers, unlocking new market opportunities for road construction and mineral technology products.
- Collaborate with dealers to ensure optimal product inventory levels, meeting cyclical demand and maximizing sales potential.
- Oversee company promotional programs, financing options, and product pricing within the territory to drive sales effectiveness.
- Work closely with dealers and customers to understand their needs, recommending tailored solutions that include standard or modified machinery.
- Prepare quotes, credit terms, and sales contracts while estimating delivery dates based on production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of business transactions, manage expense accounts, and enter sales data into our database for analysis.
- Communicate effectively with the internal Wirtgen America support team to ensure timely delivery and exceptional post-sale service.
- Foster strong relationships with purchasing contacts and act as a liaison between manufacturers and dealers.
- Attend trade shows to enhance product knowledge, assess competition, and cultivate new business relationships.
- Drive results through distribution partners and direct end customers, identifying resources for increased sales and developing accurate sales forecasts.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to management, detailing progress and insights.
- Maintain accurate records of business transactions, manage expense accounts, and enter sales data into our database for analysis.
- Communicate effectively with the internal Wirtgen America support team to ensure timely delivery and exceptional post-sale service.
- Foster strong relationships with purchasing contacts and act as a liaison between manufacturers and dealers.

- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in heavy equipment, mining/mineral processing, or road construction machinery.
- Proven track record in building and sustaining productive business relationships.
- Proficient computer skills for communication and presentation materials.
- Must reside within the sales territory and possess industry experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 80%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated negotiation and sales capabilities.
- Exceptional presentation skills, incorporating verbal, visual, and narrative elements.
- Ability to interpret complex information and foster key internal and external relationships.
- Proficient organizational skills to coordinate priorities and work independently.
