Wirthwein Fountain Inn, LLC. is seeking for a Tooling Supervisor to support the team. This position will report to the Tooling Manager, and will have Tooling Technicians on all shifts report them. Schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Function of the Position:

- Enforce and adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of WIFO to provide for a safe and healthful workplace
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your Supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected
- Ensure all accidents are reported and accident investigations are completed within 24 hours
- Provide leadership to all team members to ensure that adequate focus is generated towards achieving team goals
- Meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of WIFO
- Support and follow the department control plan on a daily basis ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of departmental goals
- Make sure all necessary tools and equipment required for area are in the proper condition and available for daily use and coordinate necessary repairs with maintenance
- Must be able to work overtime and shift work as needed in accordance with company policy
- Conduct daily informational meetings with assigned employees
- Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks
- Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Tooling Manager
Tasks of the Position:
- Support and follow the Mold Department control plan on a daily basis ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of departmental goals and objectives within TS-16949 guidelines
- Maintain an open issue list for each tool, including upgrades to be done to maintain tools in accordance with customer specifications
- Provide troubleshooting input as required to assist in the repair of equipment problems thereby minimizing downtime and providing valuable training to maintenance staff
- Communicate daily shift turnovers to team members or the Tooling Manager to ensure a true team approach and to convey all pertinent information to provide the best possible support to the plant for team members on opposite shifts
- Review work orders on a daily basis to ensure accuracy in Maintenance Dude
- Review, monitor and follow-up on a daily basis the activities and assigned work to ensure quality, safety and efficiency of maintenance work performed
- Must be able to perform all duties assigned to the Mold Tooling Technician
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a technical field of study preferred
- Computer skills
- CNC experience preferred
- Welding experience preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferre
- This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of six (6) hours a day and have the ability to carry up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must be capable of performing repetitive motion for four (4) to six (6) hours a day
- Education and Experience:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED with minimum six years direct job related experience or completion of Apprenticeship Program.
- Must have minimum two years production environment experience in injection molding or related field
