What you will be doing:
- Serving as the lead accountant and point of contact for Shareholder Accounting Services that includes balance sheet reconciliations, process improvement recommendations, and financial statement preparation
- Assist with financial analysis that includes monitoring monthly profit and loss statements through month-end processes, providing variance analysis and reporting results to Director of Accounting
- Inventory variance reporting to oversight groups, and creating monthly trend analysis of inventory shortages/overages, outdated product, etc.
- Month-end reconciliation of inventory balances for all franchises including developing and documenting processes for Intercompany inventory transactions
- Assist the Director of Accounting with all budgeting, forecasting and financial planning and analysis functions
- Reviewing, assessing, and developing potential improvements to existing financial reporting software tools to assist the President, CFO, and Director group with decision making
- Analyze month end accrual and quarter end accrual balances to determine appropriate reserves
- Provide Accounts Receivable analysis related to write-offs, aging reports and collectability concerns, compliance with Company policies and procedures, and reviewing processes for potential efficiencies
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- Proven financial experience preferred.
- Proven project and/or process management with limited oversight.
- Customer Service minded professional with a desire to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to meet daily and monthly deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
