JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Lead Person/Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY
The Production Lead Person oversees all shift employees and complies with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. They will ensure that all personnel are properly trained and follow all policies and procedures set forth by Wis-Pak.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)
- Lead all personnel and operations during shift.
- Perform package and product changeovers.
- Maintain low-cost, high-quality production practices.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform small repairs on machines.
Responsible for meeting production and quality standards during shifts.
- Facilitate and aid other departments.
- Ensure proper raw material usage.
- Monitor all promotional material usage.
- Maintain strong and frequent communications with employees to help prevent errors.
- Responsible for proper Coding, Recycling, General Housekeeping, and Personnel Training.
- Follow and enforce all Wis-Pak policies and procedures.
- Adheres to, trains, and helps to enforce compliance with GMP, Quality Assurance, Environmental, Health and Safety procedures, and proper use of PPE.

- Computer skills.
- Mechanical skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivational skills to lead a team in a diverse work environment.
- Ability to trouble-shoot and solve problems.
- Must have some Manufacturing/Production background.
- Understand and follow the proper escalation procedures.
- Follow all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety regulations.
- Follow all food safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
