What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Process Improvement Analyst position at Wis-Pak?
Job Summary
The Quality Process Improvement Analyst will focus on process improvements that will directly impact variance reduction and sustainability. KPI's will be established to allow Wis-Pak to sustain the improvements made to the processes. Process KPI's will be monitored, analyzed, reported, and alarmed. Alarms will acknowledge an out of specification KPI, so action can be taken. These tasks are important to the Company's mission to provide safe, quality cases at low cost.
Job Duties / Essential Functions (Note : The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)
Evaluate current state variances across Wis-Pak facilities.
Work with Hattiesburg to reduce variances by improving processes related to batching, targeting, and training.
Establish KPI's to allow Wis-Pak to monitor and sustain improvements to the processes.
Share lessons learned in Hattiesburg with other Wis-Pak facilities.
Work with Norfolk to improve mineral water processes.
Work with Wis-Pak facilities to document water line sanitation processes.
Look for water and energy sustainability improvement opportunities.
Share lessons learned in Hattiesburg with other Wis-Pak facilities.
Work with Watertown to reduce variances by improving processes related to batching, targeting, and training.
Monitor water treatment maintenance and work with facilities to schedule water treatment maintenance.
Participate in the development and adherence to quality standards and targeting for products.
Work with Director of Quality Assurance to support the company values and mission to provide safe, high-quality products to our Shareholders and Customers.
Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to decrease costs and increase quality, productivity, efficiencies, and process improvements.
Use statistical process control tools to assure quality processes are in control.
Assist in the roll out of quality data solutions at production facilities.
Effective proactive liaison with other departments as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Travel is required to inspect facilities, meet with employees, provide follow-up. The amount of travel will vary depending on activities and deadlines.
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred or 5 years of quality manager experience.
- Beverage experience and food safety experience preferred.
- Strong skills in 8D, SPC, FMEA preferred.
- GFSI experience, PCQI preferred.
- Educational background or experience in food science or microbiology preferred.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, TEAMS).
- Strong written communication and presentation skills required.
- Possesses personal accountability, be a self-starter with passion for the job.
