Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and operate more than one type of CNC Machine. Mori Seiki Model SVL500 4-Axis. Use manual functions to improve run times and reduce non-value time.
- Programming is a requirement of the position as well as operating / set ups.
- Monitor controls and make necessary adjustments to achieve product specs and change cutting tools.
- Read dimensions and tooling instructions from work orders and blueprints.
- Verify conformance of machined parts to product specs.
- Load and unload material and align material to specs.
- Plan and perform machine operations which require complicated set ups, troubleshooting with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with machines controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, HEIDENHAIN and or Siemens. Proficient in one and adaptable to in-house control.
- Edit program as needed to achieve conformant machined components.
- Maintain traceability of machined components.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- Follow company regulations for a safe and healthy workspace.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 7 years’ related experience preferred
- Knowledge of machines and products manufactured required
- Shop math a must
- Must be able to be on call and work with minimum notice
- Must be able to read blueprints, technical documents, drawings, and diagrams
- Hourly Rate dependent on Candidate experience level and skillset*
