As a Foundry Engineer at Dee Manufacturing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our foundry processes. You will be responsible for quoting, monitoring sampling of new and reactivated jobs, collaborating with cross-functional teams on process improvements, and utilizing CAD software. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of foundry experience and possess ambition, urgency, and drive to excel in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Quoting: Collaborate with the sales and production teams to prepare accurate and competitive quotes for foundry projects. Analyze project specifications, materials, labor, and overhead costs to provide cost estimates.

Monitor Sampling: Oversee the sampling process for new and reactivated jobs to ensure they meet quality and production standards. Identify and address any issues or deviations promptly.

Process Improvement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to identify opportunities for process improvements. Implement and monitor changes to enhance efficiency and quality.

CAD Software: Utilize CAD software to create and modify drawings, models, and schematics for casting designs. Collaborate with design engineers to optimize casting designs for manufacturability.

Foundry Expertise: Apply your 3-5 years of foundry experience to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Ensure that casting processes are executed with precision and adhere to quality standards.
