Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It): As a Quality Engineer, you will be the superhero of our Quality Management Systems (QMS). Your role will ensure that our QMS is top-notch, maintaining ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, managing all things APQP/PPAP, and keeping our suppliers in check. You’ll be working closely with all departments to spark continuous improvement efforts and make sure we’re delivering our best work every time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drive Continuous Improvement: You’ll be a catalyst for improving customer satisfaction and internal processes. No idea is too small when it comes to making things better!
- Ensure Compliance: Keep our QMS compliant with the latest ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. You’ll be the expert guiding the team and ensuring we’re always audit-ready.
- PPAP Planning: You’ll take the lead on PPAP activities, including managing products, gage R&R, capability studies, and all the prep work for PPAP submissions.
- Supplier Superhero: Help us ensure that our suppliers are always meeting our quality standards. Your vigilance keeps us ahead of the curve.
Education and/or Experience Expected:
- A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with APQP processes, particularly for product launches.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 and IATF16949 quality systems.
- Experience in developing and managing supplier quality assurance systems.
- Hands-on background in continuous improvement, utilizing Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies.
- Familiarity with AIAG Core Tools.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) principles.
- Adept in problem-solving using Six Sigma and Lean principles.
- A data-driven mindset to analyze and improve processes effectively.
Preferred Experience:
- Two to five years of experience operating quality measurement equipment in a production environment.
- Knowledge of foundry processes and familiarity with CNC machining processes.
- Experience with CMM, laser scanning, x-ray, and LPI measurement systems.
- Experience in quality engineering and QMS management, preferably in manufacturing.

Working Conditions:
- Will have regular exposure to foundry environment including dust, heat, fumes and noise. Will travel regularly to customer and supplier sites.
