As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Engineer to oversee and optimize our manufacturing operations. Position Overview:
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead and manage a team of Manufacturing, Process, and Automation Engineers. Your role will be to ensure the efficiency of production operations and the consistent delivery of high-quality products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise, spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the overall optimization of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning and implementation of daily engineering actions and strategies to optimize efficiency and improve product quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to align engineering activities with organizational goals
- Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement projects to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency and reduce scrap
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts and plant layouts
- Supervise and mentor team of Manufacturing, Process and Automation Engineers to enable them to develop professionally and achieve their goals
- Support Product Engineer and Product Launch team with planning activities for trials/PPAP of new parts and process/cost improvement trials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of experience in an engineering role
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to the Aluminum casting industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Two or more years of experience leading a team
- Experience with Articulated Arm Scanners and Coordinate Measurement Machines
- Strong background in casting defects root cause analysis
Working Conditions:
- Works in climate-controlled office 50% of time. Will have regular exposure to foundry environment including dust, heat, fumes and noise
