Accounting Specialist

Position Overview:

Wisconsin Brewing Company / Lake Louie Brewing is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives on accuracy, and has a strong desire to grow in the accounting field. The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Controller and accounting function, helping to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of daily financial operations.

Responsibilities:

· Process accounts payable and receivable ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

· Perform reconciliations of accounts, including bank and credit card statements.

· Oversee email correspondence with Vendors ensuring timely response and action.

· Help prepare documentation for financial reporting and monthly closing.

· Collaborate with the Controller and other departments to ensure financial accuracy.

· Maintain organized financial files and records.

· Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.

· Support inventory management and documentation specific to brewery operations.

· Assist with TTB reporting (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau).

· Support quarterly / annual budgeting and auditing preparations.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration.

· Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new tasks.

Education and Training:

Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, a related field, or 3 – 5 years of equivalent work experience. Prior experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software and basic accounting functions is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
