Job Description

Position Summary : The Development and Communications Senior Associate (Grant Writer) at Wisconsin Community Services Inc. is responsible for leading and supporting grant writing, program planning, and program development. You will conceptualize and develop high-level, complex proposals and write funding applications to various entities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and write funding proposals and applications to government entities, foundations, and other funding sources.
• Perform research for funding proposals and applications.
• Assist in donor identification, cultivation, and recognition.
• Develop and strengthen foundation and corporate relationships.
• Solicit donations and in-kind goods / services to promote WCS programs and special events.
• Work closely with the Director of Development and Communication to implement the organization’s development plan and fundraising activities.
• Provide creative input on special writing projects with senior leaders.
• Cultivate local media relationships to promote WCS’s mission.

Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's level studies in communication, public policy, social welfare, or a related field. Experience with Microsoft 365, databases, design / presentation software, and event software is required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience : $68,000 - $80,000.
