The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for supervising work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in the hotel.
This is a part or full time position with day and weekend availability.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately to include prospective check-outs and stayover's.
- Cleans guest suites in an allotted time period determined by management using the proper procedures and chemicals provided by management.
- Inspects and evaluates the cleaning of rooms after the Room Attendant has completed cleaning the room.
- Assist in training and teaching policies, and work procedures.
- Coaches Room Attendants on areas of improvement by showing them what task they missed or did not perform properly when cleaning rooms.
- Submits recommendations to management on needed repairs.
- Periodically inventories supplies and equipment.
- Ensures housekeeping duties are completed prior to shift end.
- Ensures storage rooms and housekeeping carts are clean and organized.
- Upon discovering any damage to property, immediately fill out a maintenance request form and / or missing inventory form and submit to Executive Housekeeping Manager.
- Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
- Follows procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens.
- Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to management.
- Practices safety procedures, including bending, lifting, and safe use of equipment.
