What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent position at Wisconsin Department of Corrections?
- Through appropriate subordinate staff, plan and direct the operations of the Maintenance Department ensuring the proper operation of heating, cooling and refrigeration systems, electronic equipment, food service equipment, grounds equipment, security systems, building structure components and gas/diesel powered automotive.
- Oversee the Institution Sanitation Program, ensuring subordinate staff are monitoring the care and cleaning of all building surfaces. Ensure that solid waste, hazardous waste and recyclable materials are disposed of according to State and Federal codes.
- Plan and direct the maintenance and repair of institution service systems including telephone, radio and computer local network, electric, natural gas, water distribution systems and storm and sanitary sewer systems.
- Ensure all Federal and State drinking water and wastewater regulations and standards are met and reports filed at designated times as required for municipal systems with under 10,000 residents.

Pay: $38.00 - $44.33 per hour
