Introduction
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) is recruiting for a full-time Scheduling Associate. This position will work the overnight shift from 9:30 pm – 6:00 am with a 2-week rotation, including weekends. CWC provides short-term and long-term residential services to assist people living with intellectual disabilities in acquiring the personal skills needed to reach their highest potential. CWC is located at 317 Knutson Drive on the north side of Madison.

Position Summary
As a Scheduling Associate, you will be responsible for taking absence calls-ins, relaying information, assisting with meeting the staffing minimums, and keeping the scheduling program accurately updated. Additionally, you will be a resource for answering questions and policies related to scheduling.
Salary Information
The starting rate of pay is $20.02/hour (approximately $41,600 annually), plus excellent benefits. A $.80 /hour night differential and an $.80 /hour weekend differential applies to worked shifts. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as an Office Operations Associate and is in pay schedule and range 02/10.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have the following:
- Experience performing office management or administrative duties (e.g., maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, scheduling meetings, etc.).
- Experience working with computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite for entering data, generating reports, etc.
- Experience providing customer service (e.g., providing instructions, answering questions, problem solving, etc.) in a professional or business setting.
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting or 24/7 facility.
- Experience monitoring scheduling and timesheets of staff.
- Experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
