Introduction
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) is recruiting for a Technical Support Professional. This position will work Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm and will be required to participate in on call rotation as assigned.

Position Summary
At the Technical Support Professional Senior Level, you will perform the duties above under general supervision.
Salary Information
The level of the position and salary will be determined based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. The pay ranges for each level are:
Technical Support Professional (pay schedule and range 07/35): $31.00 to $32.00 per hour (approximately between $64,400 and $66,500 per year).
Technical Support Professional Senior (pay schedule and range 07/34): $33.50 to $37.00 per hour (approximately between $69,600 and $76,900 per year).
This position is in the Information Systems Comprehensive Services classification series. Individuals hired at the professional level may have the opportunity to advance within the classification series as they gain experience and knowledge of DHS systems. Pay for current state employees is based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, the selected candidate will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will have all of the following:
- Training or experience providing IT technical support to end users.
- Training or experience leading or implementing IT projects to successful completion.
- Training or experience managing network infrastructure, virtual server or enterprise communication systems.
Well-qualified applicants will also have the following:
- Experience managing VoIP telephone system or handheld radio system.
- Experience managing account or data security in a healthcare or correctional setting.
- Training or experience providing technical support to a large, diverse campus environment (200 users).
