Position Summary
The WEDC Internship program is designed to offer broad exposure to economic development, community development, real estate redevelopment, historic preservation, and program management and evaluation. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) team’s strategy is designed to build entrepreneurial density and foster growth of the states’ entrepreneurial ecosystem. The E&I Intern primarily supports staff and external customers to accomplish tasks towards these goals with little direction required.
Responsibilities
The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Intern will spend a majority of their time in these activities:
- Provide support to administer entrepreneurship grant and loan programs offered by WEC.
- Assist eligible entities throughout the state to complete their applications to the programs.
- Perform program evaluation and benchmarking research.
- Prepare background memos, program summaries and analyze data sets for trends and insights.
- Maintain program applications, implementation manuals, software systems and guides.
- Adhere to established guides and manuals to maintain accuracy and completeness in work execution.
- Attend events, organization and division meetings as schedule permits.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Salary : $15 - $18
