Position Title: Learning and Development Intern-HR

Position Summary
The Learning and Development Intern-HR cooperates with the Learning Team to create, manage, organize, and present company Learning classes, programs, meetings, and achieve company-specific Learning goals. The primary responsibilities of this role include maintaining existing training documents and programs, assisting with and scheduling learning events, and maintaining the Learning Calendar. The Learning and Development Intern-HR will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of HR and will coordinate/lead Learning and HR projects as needed.
Responsibilities
The Learning and Development Intern-HR will spend a majority of the time in these activities:
- Communicating with internal staff about Learning Events and classes.
- Managing the messages, meetings, and information shared in the Training Inbox and other channels associated with Learning, like Microsoft Teams.
- Coordinating with Divisional Leaders who are acting as facilitators for upcoming training programs.
- Collaborating with the team to maintain the eLearning (LMS) system including:
- Scheduling events and classes to appear on the WEDC Learning Calendar,
- Assigning Learning Classes and Required Learning content to Employees,
- Managing class rosters including recording attendance and completion status for Employees,
- Developing Learning and Compliance reports to be shared with Employees and Managers which will track and report on Employee learning progress
- Processing procurement cases related to Training programs, guest speakers, events, supplies, and off-site training or professional development provided by 3rd party vendors.
- Research and produce learning content for training modules and the learning newsletter.
- Preparing Learning Aids to support training programs.
- Setting up meeting rooms and classes with necessary equipment and student supplies
- Creating visual, audio, and interactive learning tools
- Assisting with New Hire Orientation including facilitation of the New Hire Orientation presentation, WEDC systems demonstrations, New Hire Paperwork and I9 process, and other New Hire required activities.
- Documenting, reviewing, and organizing training systems procedures and supporting documentation for training programs and systems (Creating Procedures and Work Instructions).
- Updating/maintaining the Human Resources Handbook and New Hire Onboarding Guide.
- Supporting the Human Resource Department with programs, initiatives, etc.
- Providing outstanding customer service to internal staff and external business partners.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Salary : $15 - $18
