Scope:
The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Human Resources Department in carrying out various programs, policies, and procedures for all employees in addition to payroll administration.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively administer and is knowledgeable in all aspects of the payroll function as well as the 401(k)
- Perform general Administrative duties, i.e.: typing of job postings, preparing internal correspondence letters to employees, scheduling meetings, etc
- Assist in recruiting process, i.e.: gather resumes, check references, and schedule interviews
- Assist with any organization wide training needs
- Maintain and Update payroll database to include an ongoing review of that database and recommend any needed improvements
- Collect, analyze, and prepare data from payroll database for special projects and reports as needed
- Maintain and Update personnel files which include workers compensation in accordance with Wisconsin Law
- Assist HR Manager with special projects
- Maintain position descriptions
- Conduct new employee orientations
- Become available for employee relation issues in the absence of the HR Manager
- Assist in coordination of employee events i.e.: service award, holiday party, etc.
- Ability to read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
- Perform related duties as assigned
Experience & Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in HR or other related field is required. One year of previous experience or participating in this type of position is preferred. Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software Word, and Excel needed. PowerPoint and Publisher are also preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
