Position Overview:
Join our Baseball Team Ticket Office Management Internship and gain practical experience in the fast-paced world of sports ticketing and customer service. As a Ticket Office Intern, you will play a crucial role in assisting our ticketing staff with various tasks related to ticket sales, customer inquiries, and game-day operations. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about ticketing systems, event management, and the inner workings of a professional sports organization. This is no lazy summer internship! It is However, Very Rewarding and Very Memorable!

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ticket Sales Support: Lead ticket office staff in processing ticket orders,  group ticket sales, and game day ticket sales.
  2. Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, provide information about ticket options, and resolve any ticket-related issues in a courteous and professional manner.
  3. Data Entry: Accurately enter customer information, sales data, and financial transactions into the ticketing system.
  4. Ticket Distribution: Assist in the distribution and printing of physical tickets, including will-call and ticket mailing.
  5. Game-Day Operations: Support ticket office operations on game days, including ticket scanning, will-call assistance, and on-site customer service.
  6. Ticketing Reports: Generate ticket sales and attendance reports for internal use and analysis.
  7. Promotions and Marketing: Assist in the implementation of ticket promotions and marketing initiatives to drive ticket sales.
  8. Customer Relationship Management: Contribute to maintaining a positive relationship with season ticket holders, group leaders, and all other ticket purchasers.
  9. Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and securely following established procedures.
  10. Office Support: Provide general administrative support to the ticket office staff as needed.
  11. This is not an all-inclusive list and you will be assigned additional team duties to ensure a positive fan experience, facilities cleanliness, and everyone’s safety.

Requirements:
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a friendly and helpful attitude with a smile.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in ticketing transactions and data entry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with the ticket office team and other staff members.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Previous experience in cash handling is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Baseball Enthusiast: A passion for baseball and a general understanding of the game and its dynamics.

Educational Background: 
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Duration of Commitment & Compensation:
This is a 3 month (Mid-May through Mid-August) summer internship position. Compensation and academic credit options can be discussed during the interview process.
