Summary: Oversees and directs the management of all fabrication areas to produce the
Company’s products on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Works with the Quality, Safety & Training Coordinator on related policies in the warehouse to ensure the best quality products and safest possible working environment is being provided for employees.
- Train and develop staff in relevant fabrication skills.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the fabrication department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Manage the continuous improvement of all fabrication processes.
- Manage operational information and recommendations for strategic plans and reviews.
- Implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards.
- Resolve problems, complete audits, and identify trends.
- Manage fabrication department to ensure that the preventive maintenance activities are performed in compliance with related standards recommended by the Maintenance Team.
- Expertise in fabrication processes, principles, and tools required for fabrication and knowledge of ASME codes.
- Work with other departments such as Scheduling, Quality, Engineering, Safety, Sales and HR teams in a professional and respectful manner.
- Promote a respectful culture and atmosphere for a healthy environment and teamwork.
- Provide clear expectations for the team and review their efficiency and hours utilization to stay as efficient as possible.
- Utilize PowerBI to monitor efficiency/utilization and provide regular feedback to the team.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or three to five years’ related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
