The banquet & event team is currently seeking an intern to join our team for this fall. This is a 35-45 hour/week position that includes weekends, early mornings, and late evenings. Compensation for this position is paid as a monthly salary based on candidate experience.

The banquet & event team is currently seeking an intern to join our team for this fall. This is a 35-45 hour/week position that includes weekends, early mornings, and late evenings. Compensation for this position is paid as a monthly salary based on candidate experience.
The essential functions of the event intern include the following:
- An interest of event planning and catering.
- Ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures with staff and guests.
- Ensuring prompt and efficient communication with customers while ensuring world class customer service.
- Availability to work a sometimes challenging schedule to ensure proper coordination of events and event staff. This includes late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Training, scheduling, and supervising employees.
- Following food/liquor licensing and safety policies. Must be eligible for liquor license.
- Assist in creating work orders, invoices, and layouts using catering software. Execute the work order details to ensure successful events.
- Assist with opening and set-up, serving and bartending for events, and closing events when needed.
- Assuring event inventory is appropriate for upcoming events.
- Assist the Banquet & Events Managers with marketing and other miscellaneous office tasks.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- May be required to assist with baseball or non-banquet related events, such as concerts or charity softball games.
- Experience with Canva is not required, but must be willing to learn.
