What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truss Designer position at Wisconsin Truss Inc?
This position involves developing a truss quote. The Designer must have the ability to read blueprints and create a truss quote and layout form the plans. Applicates must have understanding of load transfer, beam clacs, and general construction knowledge. The designer must be able to address structural issues.
Requirements:
Minimum education required, Associates Degree in Civil, Architectural, or design related field, preferred bachelors degree.
Applicable work experience may be substituted for education requirement
Special knowledge required- Reading and interpreting blueprints in an architectural related industry
Excellent salesmanship and communication skills
PC literate with Microsoft office products, MiTek Software, or other design software
Physical demands include sitting for an extended period of time, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing a ladder
Being able to measure a foundation, heel, slope, and overhang
Being able to manage multiple concurrent activities
Salary : $50,000 - $80,000
