Wisconsin Whey Protein provides high quality milk protein ingredients to manufacturers of food and beverage products worldwide. Our products are produced in custom built facilities in Darlington and Turtle Lake Wisconsin.
Job Summary:
The Liquid Filtration Operator will be responsible for a variety of key functions related to our incoming liquid whey supply and our finished products. This position is responsible for the continuous monitoring of all whey processing equipment within our plant. This position is a rotating shift, with every other weekend; 4pm to 4am or 2am to Noon night shift. We will train the right candidate. Pay based on experience!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of all equipment involved in the operation of the whey H.T.S.T.'s in accordance with State and Federal Guidelines.
- Knowledge of sampling equipment and sample handling and storage.
- Inspecting equipment for production and sanitation.
- Maintain proper documentation for production Runs and CIP's
- Documents all runs for the production day.
- Accurately run all tests necessary for quality control pertaining to the products and sanitation to maintain compliance with the state and company guidelines and policies.
- Checks and documents product temperatures and times.
- Reports and follows up on all repairs of equipment as needed.
- Responsible for understanding and conducting CIP's and other cleaning steps according to plant procedures.
- Responsible for following GMP guidelines and all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Perform all other assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes standing/walking on concrete, noise, changing temperatures, routine bending/stopping/twisting/pushing/pulling, lifting 25-50 lbs., and climbing stairs or ladder.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Must be able to verbally communicate, understand and write in the English language
- Understand the importance of good sanitation, personal hygiene and GMP.
- Ability to clearly document information as required.
- Ability to climb, squat, bend, kneel and lift minimum 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance is required.
