Hours & Pay:
This is a summer position with the option to join our school year team
Up to $20 per hour, pay is based on education and experience
Full-time, up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, June 16-August 15, with the option to work August 18-22
Required training takes place in May and June
Position Summary: The day camp director, under the direction of the Summer Program Director and alongside the day camp assistant director, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their assigned day camp program. Responsibilities include managing a staff team, ensuring health and safety standards are met, ensuring overall program quality, and managing the camp budget. The day camp director is responsible for fostering positive relationships with children, families, and community personnel.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must be 21 years old; 25 preferred
- Must be able to responsibly and safely manage a large group of children
- Has a bachelor’s degree in education or related field and/or two-years of prior related camp and supervisory experience
- Has experience supervising a staff team
Program Locations: Our five summer day camps are located in elementary schools and community centers in Madison, Verona, and Waunakee
