We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage our landscaping/hardscape team. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of landscaping projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping, hardscapes, team leadership, and project management, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage landscaping staff, providing guidance on proper landscaping techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Project Management: Oversee landscaping projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- Quality Control: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Client Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
- Equipment & Inventory Management: Ensure that landscaping equipment is properly maintained, repair and replace tools as necessary, and manage inventory of supplies.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety guidelines and policies to maintain a safe working environment for the team, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records of work completed, project status, and employee performance. Report to management on progress and issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscaping, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, landscape design, and maintenance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and supervise a team in an outdoor, hands-on environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, employees, and management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with landscaping tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to operate trucks and other vehicles as necessary.
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial or large-scale landscaping projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable practices in landscaping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
