Job Summary:

The Administrator of Non-Skilled Home Health Services is responsible for overseeing and managing the non-skilled home health services division for Indiana. This role includes ensuring the delivery of high-quality personal care services, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving the growth and development of the division. The administrator will work closely with other departments to coordinate care and services that meet the needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of the non-skilled home health services division.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to staff, including home health aides and administrative personnel.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Monitor performance and conduct regular performance reviews for staff.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of care.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any complaints or issues related to care services.
  • Client Care Coordination:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for clients.
  • Ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed and updated based on clients' needs and conditions.
  • Coordinate services with other healthcare providers and community resources to meet clients' needs.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff in managing complex client situations.
  • Business Development and Marketing:
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the non-skilled home health services division.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, physicians, and community organizations.
  • Identify opportunities for new services and expansion into new markets.
  • Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the division's budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue growth and increased profitability.
  • Staff Training and Development:
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are skilled and knowledgeable.
  • Promote ongoing professional development and continuing education for staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment that supports teamwork and professional growth.
  • Address staff concerns and provide support and resources as needed.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Participate in the development of the organization's strategic plan.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for the non-skilled home health services division.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform strategic planning and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in home health care, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of non-skilled home health services and regulatory requirements.
    • Financial acumen and budget management skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent travel to client homes and community sites.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • May involve occasional evening or weekend work to meet client needs or attend community events.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
