Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) – Correctional Facility (M-F, No Weekends or Holidays)

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to provide mental health services in a correctional facility. This role will involve delivering therapeutic support to incarcerated individuals, contributing to their rehabilitation and well-being while ensuring compliance with facility protocols and maintaining a safe environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to inmates, addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues.
• Assess inmates’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other medical, security, and correctional staff to ensure comprehensive care and safety.
• Offer crisis intervention and support during critical situations, helping to de-escalate conflicts and provide emotional support.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress in inmate records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide psychoeducation and mental health resources to inmates, supporting their rehabilitation and coping strategies.
• Assist in discharge planning and provide resources for post-release mental health care, including referrals to community-based services.
• Provide training and guidance to correctional officers on managing inmates with mental health issues.

Requirements:

• Current, active LPCC or LISW license.
• Previous experience in a correctional setting or related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations in a secure environment.
• Ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Knowledge of mental health treatment, crisis management, and relevant laws regarding inmate care.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday hours.
• No weekends or holidays, offering an ideal work-life balance.
