Licensed Social Worker – Correctional Facility (Monday to Friday, No Weekends, No Holidays)
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Social Worker to provide essential mental health services in a correctional setting. The Social Worker will work with incarcerated individuals, providing therapeutic services and support while ensuring the safety and security of the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to inmates, addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.
- Assess inmates’ mental health and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with medical, security, and correctional staff to ensure holistic care for inmates.
- Assist with discharge planning and provide resources to inmates for successful reintegration after release.
- Offer crisis intervention and support in high-stress situations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
- Conduct intake interviews and evaluations to assess mental health needs.
- Provide training for correctional officers on managing inmates with mental health conditions.
Requirements:
- Current, active Licensed Social Worker (LSW) certification.
- Experience in a correctional facility or related environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with professionalism.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis intervention, and relevant legal standards for inmate care.
