Position : Social Worker – Addiction Treatment Facility
Job Type : Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, with one day per week from 11 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our addiction treatment facility on a 13-week contract. The Social Worker will be responsible for conducting psycho-educational groups, 12-step groups, clinical groups, and therapeutic groups, as well as providing individual 1 : 1 sessions for clients and their families. The role involves supporting clients through their recovery journey, helping them address addiction and related mental health issues, and ensuring they receive the tools and support they need for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities :
Facilitate psycho-educational groups, 12-step groups, clinical groups, and therapeutic groups for clients in an addiction treatment setting.
Provide individual counseling and 1 : 1 therapy sessions for clients, focusing on addiction recovery and addressing mental health needs.
Conduct family therapy sessions to support clients' recovery processes and strengthen family dynamics.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients in collaboration with other treatment team members.
Assess and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet the needs of each individual.
Provide crisis intervention when necessary and assist clients in navigating challenging moments in their recovery journey.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with facility standards.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and counselors, to provide integrated care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute insights to enhance the overall treatment program.
Maintain confidentiality of all client records and adhere to ethical standards of practice.
Required Certifications / Education / Licensure :
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or CADC II certification is required.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a social studies-related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling).
Alternatively, a Master’s level license in social work or counseling (LMSW, LCSW, LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, etc.) is required.
IA license is not required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in addiction treatment and / or working with individuals in recovery.
Knowledge and experience with 12-step programs and addiction recovery techniques.
Strong therapeutic skills and the ability to engage with clients in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
