RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE Psych RN
A Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) provides medical care to inmates in correctional facilities. They assess and treat a variety of health issues, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions. Correctional RNs perform physical exams, provide emergency care, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans. They also document patient care, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain confidentiality. Working in a correctional environment requires the ability to manage challenging situations and work effectively with a diverse population.
