CNC Operator Job Description
Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Decatur, AL. This full-time position offers steady daytime hours with the opportunity for overtime. If you have experience in a machine shop and a strong attention to detail, we’d like to hear from you!
Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings and job routers
- Perform a variety of machining tasks including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, and sawing
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and other basic gauges
- Follow job instructions accurately and work independently to complete tasks
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a machine shop setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions
- Solid understanding of basic math and measurement tools
- Comfortable using calipers and other standard measuring devices
- Physically able to stand for most of the workday and lift up to 10 lbs continuously
- High school diploma or GED required
