Now Hiring: Payroll Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and payroll processing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly timekeeping records for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Verify information from payroll processing company and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Maintain employee payroll files, including tracking PTO time and managing records.
- Transmit payroll information to relevant departments or systems.
- Prepare and transmit 401k contribution data, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Verify the accuracy of payroll before finalizing, identifying and resolving any issues.
- Run periodic reports to update current PTO and vacation status, providing relevant insights to management.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Processor (CPP) preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll software; ADP knowledge is preferable.
- Experience with accounting software such as SAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
