We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient order fulfillment and shipping/receiving processes. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile, consolidate, and put away material
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize RF scanners for accurate inventory tracking and order picking.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of packages.
- Perform order fulfillment tasks by accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and basic math skills for inventory management.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move heavy packages throughout the shift.
