Your Mission? As the Finishing Superintendent, you will oversee the entire finishing process, from surface preparation to the final touches. Your leadership will ensure that every product leaving our facility reflects superior craftsmanship and quality.
What You’ll Be Doing (And Owning Like a Pro):
- Foster effective and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring inquiries are addressed, concerns are resolved, and updates are provided to maintain strong, lasting relationships.
- Manage end-to-end customer inquiries, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and selections are met, while diligently following up on customer requests.
- Ensure product accuracy and adherence to lead times, while effectively communicating schedules with internal teams.
- Implement best practices and leverage innovative tools to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Advocate for innovative solutions to minimize waste, improve consistency, and optimize overall performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finishing or production management within cabinetry or woodworking manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency with spray equipment (HVLP or airless systems).
- Knowledge of wood finishing techniques (staining, sealing, lacquering).
- Familiarity with paint mixing and color matching.
- Experience working with water-based and solvent-based finishes.
- Knowledge of cabinet materials (wood, MDF, veneers).
- Data-driven approach with experience in using KPIs to enhance performance.
- Problem-solving expertise with a focus on root cause analysis and effective solution implementation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software is highly advantageous.
