WisEngineering, LLC is currently interviewing candidates for an immediate or near term position on site with our company in support of ongoing Department of Defense programs at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. Candidate must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Successful candidate will be a direct (W2) employee of WisEngineering. NOTE: This is a PART TIME position which may become a full time if the need arises.

Required Qualifications:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Government Accountant to support financial and compliance functions related to government contracts. The ideal candidate will assist in developing pricing for proposals, analyzing costs, supporting timekeeping, and ensuring accurate payments to subcontractors. This role also involves maintaining compliance with government regulations, including those governed by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), while ensuring accurate financial management using QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Support:
Assist in developing and reviewing cost proposals for government contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines.
•
Cost Analysis:
Support cost-plus contract management by analyzing overhead, general and administrative (G&A) expenses, and other cost components.
•
Timekeeping and Payments:
Financial Management:
Maintain and manage records in QuickBooks, ensuring proper allocation of costs and adherence to federal regulations.
•
Compliance Assistance:
Collaborate with team members to ensure accounting practices and financial reports meet federal government regulations, including FAR and CAS.
•
DCMA Interaction:
Provide support for processes involving the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and other federal entities to maintain compliance.
•
Reporting:
Assist in generating financial reports, including variance analyses, forecasts, and budget reviews, for internal and external stakeholders.
•
Issue Resolution:
Help investigate and resolve discrepancies related to contract pricing, cost allocation, timekeeping, and compliance.
•
Audit Preparation:
Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in government accounting, including cost-plus contracts and G&A allocation.
- Familiarity with FAR, CAS, and DCMA requirements.
- HIGH Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with timekeeping systems and proper allocation of time to contracts.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a support role.
