Location: Little Ruby's Café – West Village

Compensation: $16/hour (before tip credit)

Join the team at Little Ruby's Café’s West Village location! We’re looking for motivated and team-oriented bussers to help create exceptional dining experiences. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment while supporting our floor staff in delivering outstanding guest service.

Job Summary

As a Busser at Little Ruby's Café, you’ll assist servers in delivering top-notch hospitality by efficiently resetting tables, keeping the dining area clean, and attending to guest needs. Your role will be key in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable service for all our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Support

• Assist servers in guest service, ensuring all needs are met promptly.
• Deliver and refill water as needed.
• Communicate guest needs to front-of-house and back-of-house staff, managers, and chefs.
• Help ensure guest satisfaction by actively participating in service.
  
  

Table Maintenance

• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of tables, chairs, banquettes, and the overall dining area.
• Properly set tables with the appropriate tableware and settings.
• Participate in marking tables for upcoming courses when applicable.
  
  

Venue Cleanliness

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of stations and the entire venue.
• Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  
  

Setup and Closing Duties

• Set up floor and side stations with required supplies.
• Perform opening and closing side-work tasks as directed by management.
• Report any breakage or damage to equipment or furniture to management immediately.
  
  

Team Collaboration

• Attend daily pre-service meetings and participate in training sessions or departmental meetings.
• Work as part of a team, providing help and support to fellow team members.
• Exhibit a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a busser, especially in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge.
• Completion of company-provided busser training and Food Handling Certification.
• Ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods and handle up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
