Job Summary :
WisHope is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) & Recovery-Friendly Workplace Trainer to lead program outreach, training, and community engagement within the WisHope Recovery Business Association (RBA) Program . This role focuses on educating businesses about Recovery-Friendly Workplaces (RFW), training PRCs through a Training-of-Trainers (TOT) model, and overseeing designated community centers to ensure they provide effective recovery resources, peer support services, and outreach programs.
The ideal candidate is a certified PRC with experience in training, outreach, and business engagement . This position plays a critical role in expanding WisHope’s recovery-friendly workplace initiatives while strengthening peer-led recovery support services across communities.
Key Responsibilities :
Recovery-Friendly Workplace Training & Business Outreach
- Train and certify businesses as Recovery-Friendly Workplaces (RFW) through the WisHope Recovery Business Association (RBA) Program .
- Educate employers, HR professionals, and business leaders on addiction awareness, stigma reduction, and recovery support strategies.
- Assist businesses in developing policies, resources, and wellness initiatives that support employees in recovery.
- Conduct outreach to businesses, workforce development programs, and community partners to promote recovery-friendly workplace initiatives.
- Facilitate Training-of-Trainers (TOT) sessions to certify new PRC trainers, ensuring consistent and high-quality recovery coaching education.
- Lead PRC certification trainings , equipping recovery coaches with skills to support individuals in various settings.
- Ensure PRC training aligns with WisHope’s recovery model , Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) , and industry best practices.
- Provide input for continuing education programs for PRCs to enhance their professional development.
- Oversee and support designated community centers to ensure they provide effective recovery resources, peer support services, and outreach programs .
- Ensure community centers align with best practices in recovery support, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care .
- Serve as a mentor and guide for PRCs working in community centers and workplace initiatives .
- Assist in developing community engagement strategies to expand access to peer recovery services.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to PRCs , ensuring effective client interactions and ethical recovery coaching practices.
- Support PRCs in connecting individuals with community-based recovery services , including harm reduction, employment support, and wellness resources.
- Ensure compliance with peer recovery best practices, HIPAA regulations, and trauma-informed care principles .
- Certified Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) with Training-of-Trainers (TOT) experience or willingness to obtain TOT certification.
- Experience in training facilitation, workforce recovery programs, or corporate wellness initiatives .
- Knowledge of Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC), harm reduction, and peer support models .
- Ability to build strong relationships with business leaders, community organizations, and recovery networks .
- Strong organizational and mentoring skills to support PRCs and community center teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with data tracking and reporting .
- Experience in business outreach, human resources, or workplace recovery initiatives .
- Familiarity with grant management, non-profit leadership, or program coordination .
- Previous experience supervising or training PRCs, peer specialists, or workforce recovery teams .
