We are looking for a Flight Test Maintenance Manager to join our team. The goal of a Flight Test Maintenance Manager at Wisk is to ensure that the Flight Test team has the best possible aircraft to operate. You will be part of the Flight Test and Operations team that is in charge of Flight Testing the Wisk made aircraft. This role manages the Operations Support team, built up of qualified aircraft mechanics and other supporting roles Flight Test relies on to complete the task of flying.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Hollister, CA office.

In this role you will be a part of the future of aviation. Wisk is making strides toward electric vertical take off and landing aircraft and is looking to continue the stellar performance the Flight Test team offers. The Maintenance Manager position is a crucial part of the Flight Test team that needs an individual who is amped up for what is around the corner. This role will provide Wisk a confidence that when an aircraft is released for flight, it is ready to test as planned. Integrity and big picture understanding are critical areas Wisk needs from the Maintenance Manager.

• As part of the Flight Test and Operations organization, and deployed in the Operations Support Team, you will act as a Maintenance Supervisor for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
• You will support the growth needed to transition a Flight Test organization into the future.  You will provide the correct growth needed to bring a new aircraft through type certification. The current Flight program is based in high rate, experimental testing, that will need to step into certification testing in the very near future.
• You will help support problem solving activities in all aspects of a Flight Test team. Some examples would include day to day operations, team building, process improvement, budget planning and anything in between.
• You will help coordinate aircraft logistics, staffing, budget as needed to be an integral part of the Flight Team.
• In some areas, you will be working closely with engineering to provide upward feedback of aircraft performance. Thus aiding in engineering advancement on the next aircraft.

• Airframe and Powerplant license with a minimum of 8 years in Aviation
• You have experience with different realms of aviation maintenance that would include process writing, document creation, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, as well as flight line duties
• You have a deep and applied knowledge of what it takes to organize a hangar, run a team of mechanics and be a part in decision making required from a Flight Test team.
• You have led teams who achieved successful flight test programs
• You are familiar with the outlining areas of flight test that are required to operate smoothly. This will include ground support equipment that either needs to be designed in house or use off the shelf items to help complete the task at hand. This experience will range from on the fly problem solving to proposal writing.
