We are looking for a FTI Engineer to join our team. The goal of an FTI Engineer at Wisk will focus on design implementation, integration, configuration management, calibration, troubleshooting, operations and maintenance of Flight Test instrumentation systems and equipment. You will be part of the Flight Test Instrumentation team that is developing a state of the art instrumentation system that will support the Gen 6 eVTOL development and certification flight test program.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Hollister office.
\n- Provide inputs to all design activities related to FTI components and aircraft hardware that interfaces with FTI components.
- Support flight operations ensuring that all FTI assets are prepared for flight test.
- Manage the configuration of FTI equipment based on the flight test requirements.
- Support development of software tools as required for deployment , analysis and configuration management.
- As part of the Aircraft Design and Integration organization, and deployed in the Flight test instrumentation team you will act as a FTI engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- You will take part in designing and reviewing FTI components and installation drawings.
- You will support the Flight Test and Rig Testing needs according to the test requirements and maintain FTI and data configuration of the aircraft for testing activities.
- You will help support trouble shooting and issue resolution activities related to data acquisition systems and other issues related to instrumentation.
- You will help coordinate the installation of FTI equipment to the aircraft and support write and execute ATPS at both sensor and aircraft level.
- You will be working closely with different IPTs and the Flight Test and Operations teams to ensure efficient test execution, instrumentation definition and proper data capture.
- You will plan and execute calibration activities and maintenance activities related to all FTI equipment, ensuring calibration is maintained, parameter validity is known and tracked and FTI hardware/software is managed for the flight test aircraft.
- Bachelors in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience or Masters with 6 years.
- You have worked in the aerospace industry for at least 5 years working directly with flight test instrumentation.
- You have hands-on experience with complex aircraft system design and configuration management.
- You have a deep and applied knowledge of data acquisition system and different sensors used for fight test (eg Acclerometers, pressure transducers, staring gauges, RVDT, string pot’s etc).
- This role will require 25% of travel.

Salary : $171,063 - $201,250
